DEDEAUX PROPERTIES PURCHASES VERNON SITE FOR DEVELOPMENT OF FOOD DISTRIBUTION COMPLEX

Dedeaux Properties is pleased to announce the purchase of 2910 Ross Street
in Vernon, CA. The property consists of an approximately 12,610 sq. ft. trucking facility
situated on approximately 191,228 SF of land which will be re-developed into a state-of-the-art
food distribution complex of over 100,000 sq. ft.
Dedeaux Properties has been active in building and re-developing facilities for food-related uses
for the past several years. Dedeaux Properties is currently constructing an approx. 43,000 sq. ft.
produce distribution building for Heath and Lejeune, a leading Los Angeles based organic
produce wholesale, in the City of Commerce. Dedeaux Properties was the first company
nationwide to develop a LEED Gold Certified food processing plant for Contessa Foods also in
the City of Commerce.
“This acquisition represents our continued commitment to provide effective real estate
solutions to the vibrant Los Angeles wholesale food industry. This is a specialized niche which
requires expertise in construction of refrigeration and other specific building improvements.
We have a number of tenants interested in the site which is strategically located close to the
downtown produce mart while being able to take advantage of the lower utility rates in Vernon
and be adjacent to the Alameda Corridor," says Brett Dedeaux, Principal at Dedeaux Properties.
The deal was brokered by Bill Morrison, Robert Thornburgh and Tom Holland at Heger Industrial.
